TOTAL NUMBER OF ECTS CREDITS: 4 ECTS LEVEL OF THE POLISH/EUROPEAN QUALIFICATIONS FRAMEWORK: not applicable COURSE COMPLETION REQUIREMENTS: attendance at all classes included in the course programme, obtaining a passing grade on the final exam, submitting pre-tests and post-tests. TYPE OF ASSESSMENT : passing grade. COURSE MODE: Hybrid NAME AND FORM OF CLASSES AND NUMBER OF HOURS: Module 1. Introduction to manufacturing: What is manufacturing?, Classification of manufacturing processes; lectures; 2 hrs. Module 2. Forming and shaping processes and equipment: metal-rolling processes, metal-forging processess, sheet-metal forming processes; lectures; 4 hrs. Module 3. Materials in manufacturing; lectures; 3 hrs. Module 4. Machining processes: conventional machining, abrasive processes, nontraditional processes; lectures; 8 hrs. Module 5. Fundamentals of machining: mechanics of cutting, cutting forces and power, temperatures in cutting, tool life: wear and failure, surface finish and integrity, cutting-tool materials, cutting fluids; lectures; 6 hrs. Module 6. CNC Machining: What is CNC Machining?, CNC lathe components, CNC milling machine components; lectures; 2 hrs. Module 7. CNC Programming: G-code, Heidenhain, CAM Programming; lectures; 20 hrs. Module 8. On-site module: manual machining, programing CNC lathe machining in G-Code, programing CNC milling machining in Heidnehain, CAM programming, final exam; study visit, workshop classes, laboratory classes; 15 hrs. QUALITY ASSURANCE METHOD OF MICROCREDENTIAL: adapted in accordance with principles and procedures specified in the University System for Education Quality Assurance in place at the AGH University of Krakow.
